Achieving certification from the IBCT is a long-term commitment to yourself, your career and the HRD profession. Recertification is the process of renewing one’s certification. To maintain certification, you must be prepared to continue to learn, grow and increase your current knowledge, skills and positive attitudes.
With recertification, you are demonstrating your commitment to staying current in the field of Human Resources Development. Recertification says you are building upon your knowledge, growing as a professional and increasing your experience daily. All IBCT trainers’ certifications are valid for three years.
Recertification of IBCT Trainers
Recertification is required every three years through demonstrated professional development (for those who keep re-certifying themselves every three years) or retaking IBCT qualifying exam for those who missed their re-certification deadline once or more.
Online Recertification SystemWhat is it? and How does it work?
This online system is dedicated to the re-certification of IBCT Certified Trainers (CT/HRDC). The system encompasses three main components:
- Some pages of scientific orientation that will acquaint you with the needed scientific background on which you are going to plan your future professional development (PD) activities.
- An e-planer tool to plan your PD activities for the coming three years.
- Writing a reflective report about a learning experience you went through during the last three years of your certification.
Here is a brief description for the system
The system is very smart and interactive; all its components are contained in tabs (see the image) in order to facilitate going back and forth smoothly at any point of processing your recertification requirements.
Once you click the submit button, at any stage, you will not be able to do further modification to your three-year plan or reflection report.
After submitting your plan and reflection report, you will receive an email with attached file(s) that includes a copy of your plan and report.
Two weeks later, you will receive feedback from the IBCT recertification team either asking for more information or with the decision of the Board regarding your re-certification.
