New Associate Trainers
In January and February this year Mrs. Anisoara Vinau and Tracey Lesca were registered as an IBCT Associate Trainer. Anisoara is Cluster Training Manager at Holiday Inn Express in Dubai. Mrs. David Sutherland (UK), Seniye Groff (USA) and Vanessa Murphy (UK) are certified as Certified Trainers/HRD Consultants. Valerie Williams PhD USA) is recertified as a Certified Trainer/HRD Consultant. In the last quarter of 2011 Leni Christina Jebsen from Norway, Austin Manhertz and Mrs. Nadereh Daliri from Canada, Marina Gabrielli PhD from Italy, Larry Ting from Australia, Margit Hochstrasser from Austria, Katrin Kaehler from Germany, Faarni T. Sindatoc from the Philipines, Nicholas Stofberg and David Snelders from the UK and Taryn Haynes-Smart from South Africa were registrated as Associate Members.

Leni is a member of the Faculty to train coaches for The Coaching Training Institute and Center for Right Relationship prior to focus more on her own company that is specialized in coaching, leadership, teambuilding, conflict resolution and relationship systems coaching. Austin Manhertz is a Training Specialist at Davis and Henderson. Dr. Marina Gabrielli is an independent Corporate Language Training Specialist in Rimini-Italy. Larry Ting from Australia is certified as a lead and internal compliance auditor and specialized in development of training and assessment resources & HRM. David Snelders is speialized in retail training and life skills. Faarni is specialized in graphic designing, Katrin her expertise is communication and softskills, Nadereh is performing quality services at CIBA vision and Margit is focussing as a coach on providing 360 degrees feedback and life coaching. Taryn is a bussiness development executive at the LR Management Group. You can find all their contact details in the online directory.

(Re)certifications
This year the following trainers have been recertified in Europe: Marco Gala Molina CT,  Hennie Boogers CT, Marga Oude Maatman MCE, CT, Cees Vingerling CT and Martino Routier CT.
In the US the following trainers have been certified as Certified Trainers / HRD Consultants: David A. Finley CT, Anna Filas CT, Anne Harlow CT  and Stephanie Ary CT. Christina Watson from Illinois, US is accepted as an IBCT Associate Trainer.
In the Middle East the following trainers have been certified as a Certified Trainer: Dr. Anber Mahmoud Ahmed Hassanein CT, Dr. Dina Shawky Yassin Alzifzaf CT, Dr. Faten Abdel AzizCT, Mohamed Ghazal CT, Dr. Heba Ibrahim Mohamed CT, Mahran, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Naguib CT, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Ahmed Moustafa CT, Dr. Mirahan Farag Orabi CT, Dr. Moustafa Abdel Aziz El Sayed CT, Dr. Rania Ahmed Salah Edeen Mahmoud CT. 
In Africa Dr. Luc Zwaenenpoel is certified as a Certified Trainer. Dr. Luc is from Belgium and currently temporary based in Ethiopia.

The IBCT will present her members at the ASTD 2011
The ASTD (American Society for Training & Development) brings professionals together. May 22-25, 2011 ASTD will organize an international major conference and exposition in Orlando Fl. USA. The biggest event in training and work performance will atrract approx. 7,000 visitors from all over the word. Visitors are expected from more than 70 countries. The IBCT will present her members at booth # 846. During the conference members are invited to join the special network event for IBCT Certified Trainers. THE IBCT is launching two new levels for trainers
The IBCT launched two new levels for trainers. The aim is to encourage and involve more trainers to strengthen their professional preparation via standards, a code of conduct and extra professional training. The new levels are IBCT Associate Trainer and IBCT Professional Trainer. 
 
Associate Trainers are trainers who conduct training sessions as a side line and take the job seriously, work according to the code of conduct and want to develop themselves as a training professional. An IBCT Associate Trainer has attended a practical (compact) course for trainers and knows the essentials of training and comply with the Code of Conduct.

Certified Professional Trainers (CPT) are (free-lance) trainers who developed themselves to the professional level. Their knowledge and skills are developed on an operational level as well on a policy level regarding corporate training. All in all they can rely on a professional education in adult learning of more than 140 study hours on top of their core expertise. An IBCT Certified Professional Trainer is committed to the code of conduct and to continuing personal development as a training professional.  

Certified Trainers (CT) are trainers who perform in an international environment on an expert level. They can rely on a comprehensive professional education in corporate training of more than 200 study hours and have demonstrated a clear track record in customer satisfaction in training. They are also committed to the code of conduct and to a 100 credits yearly of continuing personal development.  Their command of the English language (as a foreign language) is good to excellent.

All trainers who are associated or certified by the IBCT are trainers who endorse the code of conduct and have knowledge about training. They have been checked and approved by the IBCT. Customers, employers and trainee can rely that their ‘learning goals’ are in trusted hands. All of them are can be recognized by the quality hallmark and/or degree that comes with the level and are listed in the directory.
 
Around the ASTD conference there is the special deal for those who want to become an IBCT Associate Trainer.  The AT status comes with the certificate and the right to use the prestigious IBCT quality mark of Associate Trainer. The normal fee is $99. Till June 1th there is the ASTD 2011 promotion of $89 for 5 years only. That’s less than $0.05 per day!

Volvo Production System Trainer certified in the US on February 1, 2011
The board is proud to announce that Jerome Pritchett B.Sc., CT, trainer/consultant at Volvo in Operational Development, was certified on February. 15 years of experience, a professional training from TrainSmart and showed customer satisfaction is the justification to certify his quality as a training professional.

Ten new trainers certified on January 15, 2011
During a distinguished certification ceremony in the Supreme Council of Universities in Cairo 10 new certified trainers, all Ph.D holders, received their prestigious IBCT certificate out of the hands of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hany Helal, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research. Acknowledgement was given to Prof. Hany Helal, Prof. Samir Helal, Associate Prof. Ahmed Metwally, the NCFLD staff, the training centers of Kafr El Sheikh, Fayoum and Cairo University. Dr. Gamal Abdelhamid received acknowledgement for PCIQA training packages and Dr. Mohsen Mahdi for the international IBCT certification of 13 training packages of the series 'Pathways to Higher Education'. The 10 International Certified Trainers & HRD Consultants may use the abbreviation CT in listed degrees and other credentials. Soon a visual atmosphere impression will be uploaded at this news page.

Prof. Dr. Hala Fouad appointed as University President at Tanta University
The IBCT Board is proud to report that President appointmented Professor Hala Ahmad Fouad Ismail as president of Tanta University from 1 August 2010. Prof. Hala Fouad is considered as the first woman that holds this position at the University of Tanta since its inception in 1972 and the second woman at the level of Egyptian universities. Prof. Hala is one of the first batch of IBCT Certified Trainers and HRD consultants in Egypt, an expert in training and human talent development, a well known professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology and held many important management positions.  More information about Prof. Hala and Tanta University can be found at  http://www.tanta.edu.eg/en/index.html or in the directory of Certified Trainers at this website.

Try out new IBCT Ads
After the successful campaign with radio commercials the IBCT started recently with some try outs of the new developed promotion campaign via advertisements. Multiple ads were published and the effect will be evaluated.

IBCT's educational standards used by Ministry of Health.
Professor Samir R. Helal CT, Director of the The Middle East & North African Board of the IBCT, signed a protocol with the High Committee of Medical specialties of the Ministry of Health. According to the signed protocol, the IBCT Middle East Board will certify the training system, training materials and trainers to the Egyptian Medical Fellowship Board, Ministry of Health in several medical specialties. All the certification procedures will be conducted according to the international standards of the IBCT. 

New certifications in the US 
San Jose, California, – Mrs. Leslie Ciborowski, President of TrainSmart, Inc., received proudly the Certificate for TrainSmart’s TTT (Train the Trainer) course out of the hands from Erik Boshuizen, European director of the IBCT. The training program was audited on 6 strict main criteria and 89 sub criteria by an expert team with members from Egypt, New Zealand, The Netherlands and Thailand. Successively associate professor Ahmed Metwalli, Peter Rijhnen, Sandor Lemstra and Erik Boshuizen.
