May 22-25, 2011 ASTD will organize an international major conference and exposition in Orlando Fl. USA. THE IBCT is launching two new levels for trainers The IBCT launched two new levels for trainers. The aim is to encourage and involve more trainers to strengthen their professional preparation via standards, a code of conduct and extra professional training. The new levels are IBCT Associate Trainer and IBCT Professional Trainer. Associate Trainers are trainers who conduct training sessions as a side line and take the job seriously, work according to the code of conduct and want to develop themselves as a training professional. An IBCT Associate Trainer has attended a practical (compact) course for trainers and knows the essentials of training and comply with the Code of Conduct. Certified Professional Trainers (CPT) are (free-lance) trainers who developed themselves to the professional level. Their knowledge and skills are developed on an operational level as well on a policy level regarding corporate training. All in all they can rely on a professional education in adult learning of more than 140 study hours on top of their core expertise. An IBCT Certified Professional Trainer is committed to the code of conduct and to continuing personal development as a training professional. Certified Trainers (CT) are trainers who perform in an international environment on an expert level. They can rely on a comprehensive professional education in corporate training of more than 200 study hours and have demonstrated a clear track record in customer satisfaction in training. They are also committed to the code of conduct and to a 100 credits yearly of continuing personal development. Their command of the English language (as a foreign language) is good to excellent. All trainers who are associated or certified by the IBCT are trainers who endorse the code of conduct and have knowledge about training. They have been checked and approved by the IBCT. Customers, employers and trainee can rely that their ‘learning goals’ are in trusted hands. All of them are can be recognized by the quality hallmark and/or degree that comes with the level and are listed in the directory. Around the ASTD conference there is the special deal for those who want to become an IBCT Associate Trainer. The AT status comes with the certificate and the right to use the prestigious IBCT quality mark of Associate Trainer. The normal fee is $99.
